Arsalan Jamshed Ali is a main character on the show, Suno Chanda. He is Jamshed Ali and Shahana Batool's son. He is legally married to Ajiya Nazakat Ali but is not fond of her and is planning to stop the wedding reception.
He is a typical Pakistani man and is often called controlling, orthodox and suppressing by Jiya. He likes to be respected and often asks Jiya to do his chores over which they fight alot.
He cares alot about his mother and when he sees his father growing close to Arbela (Billo), he leaves the house along with his mother. He gets really angry with Bi Jaan for blackmailing his mother to come back or she would get Jamshed and Arbela married.
He does not like people calling him useless and dependent and got really mad when his uncle called him that.
He genuinely starts caring about Jiya from episode 13 when thier families start fighting, he and Jiya grow closer and secretly start meeting over dinners and lunches against their parents.
Relationships[]
- Ajiya Nazakat Ali: She is his legally married wife and cousin who he does not get along with. Jiya claims Arsal was always jealous of the importance and love given to Jiya in the house. In recent episodes they have grown closer when they planned to stop the wedding reception and when Arsal left the house. Both Arsal and Jiya break the wedding by making the parents fight. Eventually, Arsal realizes that he loves Jiya. When he told her, she responded thqt he is jeaslous because she is going abroad for higher studies. When Arsal saves Jiya from goons and is shot, Jiya realizes that Arsal loves her. The family realizes that both Arsal and Jiya love each other so they did the wedding reception.
- Kinza Jalal: Kinza is Arsal's cousin and has a secret crush on him. He grows closer to Kinza when she comes to live with him and his mother against the family. Then Arsal's mother plans to get Kinza and Arsal married after his divorce from Jiya to which all except Bi Jaan and Agha Ji agree. Kinza and Arsal spend time together due to their family's pressure but whenever they do Arsal starts talking about Jiya which irks Kinza. In the end, Kinza asks Sherry to marry her and their parents get them married in Season 2.
- Shehryar (Sherry): Sherry is from London. He is Arsal's and Jiya's cousin. He helps Jiya fill out the scholarship for London School of Economics. He also gave Arsal and Jiya the idea of making the parents fight so the parents call off the wedding. When he first comes to Pakistan, he falls for Kinza since she is beautiful. Jalal (Kinza's father) always told him to stay away from Kinza. After spending time with Jiya he starts to like her because she is independent and strong. But when Sherry runs away when the goons attack, Jiya starts to hate him. He marries Kinza.
- Shahana Batool: Shahana is Arsal's mother and he loves and respects her. In the beginning he always complained to her for getting him and Jiya married but when he saw her being mistreated by his family, he left his house along with her. Arsal and Shahana share a close bond. He sometimes talks to her in Punjabi.
- Jamshed Ali: Jamshed is Arsal's father. He is not very close to him and hates him for growing close to Billo and then planning a fake heart attack to get Shahana back in the house. Jamshed slapped Arsal for leaving Jiya alone on the road and blamed him for her accident.
- Danial Nazakat Ali (DJ): DJ is Jiya's only brother. DJ always makes videos of the family memebers and blackmails them. Whenever someone needs a spy, they can always rely on DJ. He only give the video to the other family members for money. He is known as the Blackmailer. He made several video of His sister Jiya to give to Arsal. Arsal told DJ to make a video of Jiya confessing her feelings for him.
- Bi-Jaan: Bi-Jann is Arsal's gradmother. Jiya and Arsal tried to get her to call off the wedding several times, but failed.
- Nazakat Ali: Nazakat is Arsal's chacha. He tried to divorce Arsal and Jiya when the parents were mad at each other. He eventually saw that his daughter loves Arsal and he gave them his love. Arsal later apologizes to him saying if her was too hyper with him, he was sorry.
- Naeema Ali: Naeema is Nazakat's wife and Arsal's chachi. After Jiya and Arsal got married, Naeema always stood up for Arsal.
- Masooma: Masooma is Arsal's only pupu (father's sister).
- Jalal Khan: Jalal is Arsal's only fufar (father's sister's husband). He always want things to go his way.
- Arbela (Billo): Billo was the fiancee of Jamshed. Arsal starts to hate Billo when she tries to get close to his father. But she gets married to Shahana's cousin.
